Ruby

Meet Ruby! This beautiful natured girl is looking for a place to call home.

Ruby came to SAFE Esperance from the local pound. She has settled well into foster care and enjoys interacting with the other dog in the household, she just loves to play! She has not been introduced to cats or smaller animals as yet.

She is well on the way to being housetrained but still has the odd accident inside, so will need some guidance and consistency to help her in this area.

Ruby loves to play, and is pretty high intensity when she does. She would love the company of another dog (preferably male) to keep her occupied, and would do well with a family with older children (6+) as she can jump up at times. Her favourite games are catch and fetch. After playing she'll happily curl up on the couch for a cuddle and a long snooze.

She knows some basic commands, and will require ongoing training and socialisation to keep her happy and healthy. She sometimes barks when playing and to get attention.

The ideal home for Ruby will be an active one, where she can play in a good sized, secure yard with good fencing and interact with her family, someone who is home for much of the day would be good, and also other doggy company would be great for her. She needs a family who will commit to continuing her socialisation and training, and she needs to be able to sleep inside at night.
