For a rescue dog, Maggie didn’t have such a bad start, her owner passed away and her family were unable to home such a large breed of dog.
Maggie is approx. 15 months of age, being young, this gorgeous girl is still goofy and fun like a pup, but is house trained and already knows some basic commands! Already Maggie is very good at walking on lead, using a gentle leader halti.
Since being in her current foster care home, Maggie has learnt to go up and down stairs and to use a doggy door to get in and out of the house.
Maggie gets along really well with her lab x border collie foster sister, they play a little rough at times but she is learning to share the toys. Having lots of fun toys and chew things around will help to keep her entertained. Active, intelligent and inquisitive perfectly describe Maggie.
Being a Rottweiler Maggie loves her humans and follows along wherever you go – loves to be with you.
An owner that will have some time to give some extra training and to include Maggie in their daily activities and weekend adventures will be rewarded with loyalty and a best friend.
Maggie hasn’t spent much time with children, although she is a gentle giant, her boisterous personality would need to be monitored with small people. She would happily live in a home with another playful friend but would also suit someone without any other pets.
A short stay in a previous foster care home has said that Maggie isn’t too fazed about cats being around, but her current carer is a cat free home.
