Hi I’m Chica! I’m a lovely natured and affectionate girl who adores her humans. I can sit and wait for my dinner and am in the process of learning new commands. My foster mum says that I am clever, obedient, well mannered and a fast learner. When I first came into care I was quite scared and unsure. But now that I realize I am in a safe place I feel more secure and happy. My foster carers called me “girl” for a few days before I got the name Chica, which translates to girl in Spanish.

I spend my mornings sunbathing on the back verandah and my afternoons snoozing at the front gate waiting for my humans to come home from work. I enjoy playing with my furry foster brother, he keeps me company during the day. My foster mum says that I am a good sister to him because I am very tolerant. I would benefit most from having a doggy companion during the day if my humans aren’t home. A meet and greet with my new doggy playmate would be essential to make sure we get along.

I’m allowed inside during the evening to watch tv and I really like it because my humans give me belly rubs while I lay on my bed under their feet. It’s so relaxing that I often fall asleep and make little noises while I have doggy dreams. When it’s bedtime I go straight outside and lay quietly on my bed until I fall asleep. Sometimes I like to share a bed with my furry foster brother, even though we have our own.

I have a really big heart and would like to go to a forever home that has as much love for me as I have for them.
