Leather is a handsome boy who loves being with his humans. He is very active and loves to play with his siblings and chase his humans around the yard. He is good with cats but would recommend only cats who are used to living with dogs.
A bit about the Belgian Malinois breed:
The Belgian Malinois is an intelligent and loyal breed. They need firm training, but are responsive and dedicated to their role. As with all high intelligence dogs, they need plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep them busy. They thrive on problem solving and enjoy the challenge of learning new tasks. They will need constant training to keep them mentally alert and prevent boredom. They are ideal working dogs, which is why so many Police Forces and security companies use them. They form a quick bond with their owner and are loyal and protective, whilst retaining their playful, puppyish nature.
Medical notes
Leather has/will have the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ 2 x Vaccinations (C3 & C5)

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
