Maxie

Maxie is a 10 month old merle-a-quin pedigree great dane. Do you have room in your heart and home for a special needs great dane?

maxie is a very smart girl who is a very train-able. She relies on calm assertive body language as she is somewhat deaf - to what extent is not known exactly. She has grown up with another large dog and has enjoyed the company of other large dogs she has visited. Maxie recently had what you could call eye lift surgery as she has too much loose skin on her head, she still has some loose skin around her eyes and her eyes will need to be watched for infection. Maxie is still with her current owner and needs to find a new home due to her owners ongoing illness, her family are devistated so we're looking for a very special home for this lovely young dane who will be a big girl when mature. Maxie is currently a mostly outside dog who is looking for a dog savy owner to run her through basic training, she has had a session with dane rescue who were very impressed with her trainability. Maxie has not been tested with cats, small animals or live stock
