Jace is a handsome and affectionate wheaten & White Border Collie, he hasn’t had the best start to life. He is learning some manners and will now sit and wait to be invited out of his crate and sits for his food. He is learning calmness, this is something he finds very hard as he has had very little affection and finds it difficult to contain himself when he gets attention. He has learnt that the world has toys and it is so much fun when someone plays tug with him and in the evening he is happy to lay on the couch and have cuddles.
Jace will need someone who has owned Border Collies or working dogs before, he needs someone to provide the right amount of stimulation and exercise for him, someone who is home a lot of the time or with another female doggy friend, he is also good with small dogs and has previously lived with a Fox Terrier. He will make a beautiful dog for the right owner.
Medical notes

~ Desexed
~ C5 Vaccinated
~ Microchipped

~ All-Wormed

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
