About Lou
Our Lou boy is not only easy on the eyes, but he's a silver tongued charmer as well! He just loves to tell you what he’s thinking - usually that it’s time to go out for an adventure (please, please, please to the beach!)
From a rough start in life, Lou has flourished into a healthy young man and is super friendly, inquisitive and keen to find a new home that will lavish him with attention. And although he would love to not have to do any work to get all this attention, we all know what happens when you let a husky do whatever they please and give them whatever they want - they become Bratty McBratface! As our Lou is such a lovely young lad, we don’t want him tarnished with that brush, so he needs a home committed to providing him with consistent boundaries, mental and physical stimulation.
This ginger Ninja is currently in South Australia, so preference will be given to local interest, however exceptional applications from Victoria will also be considered.
Lou has lived with other dogs but likes to play feisty (he is a red-head after all!), so he may suit a home with no other dogs or with a female companion who doesn't mind a bit of rough and tumble. He is quite strong, boisterous and will pull hard on lead so would not be suited to a home with young children, and needs someone willing to put the time into attending obedience classes.
As with all Huskies, Lou will need a decent sized yard with 6 foot high secure and dig-proof fencing, and he may consider cats and other small pets something to be hunted.
A Husky-experienced home is preferred, however applicants who have owned other arctic breeds may also be considered.
