Dougal

3 things in life make Dougal the happiest dog in the world - stuffed toys, food and attention!! He never knows what toy to play with so will take them all out of the toy box and play with them all at once! Bonus points if they have stuffing or squeak!

Dougal does very well at meeting other dogs of any size and is able to live quite peacefully with other dogs (he currently lives with 3). He insists on joining in if someone else is getting attention and prefers it to be all about him. As of yet he hasn’t really engaged in much play behaviour with any of the dogs and likes to try and beat up his Bull Arab foster brother. He has met cats and has not reacted at all.

Dougal has more energy than I’ve ever seen in an adult dog, he may look like a chihuahua mix but could probably outrun a border collie! He burns a lot of energy by himself playing with toys but would benefit from regular walks. He is very much into kongs and long lasting treats.

Dougal wouldn’t be suited to a home with small children, he does jump up on people a lot (knows ‘down’ and ‘no’) and in true Chi fashion a little bit feisty.

Dougal is currently being treated for a mild case of heartworm and will require a follow up test in 6 months. It is not contagious.
