About Tango ~ Staffy X puppy (on trial 9/3/19)
Tango is the dance of love and boy does this pup love intensely! At 8 weeks old he gives the best cuddles and just insists on being the centre of attention no matter what is going on around him.
Tango is a Staffy cross and at 8 weeks only weighs in at 2.4 kgs. He is the teeny tiny runt of his litter and has a Staffy waddle on short little legs. We expect he will grow to be on the small side of medium, but will be quite stocky.
When he came into rescue he was only just 1kg and it was easy to mistake his little face for that of a joey. It’s a Staffy trait to bond closely with people and the “Force is Strong” in this one. Tango will therefore want to be part of the family action whatever that may be. He is currently in care with 2 siblings and 2 other dogs and is being well socialised.
His new family must promise to keep this socialisation and training up so he can be the very best caramel hunk of chunk going. He will need secure fencing and someone around to give him 4 meals a day until he reaches 4 months old. He had a rough start and he has some catching up to do, so this is a non negotiable for this little guy.
If his new family includes kidlets, Tango would think that’s pretty cool as he grows. The human pups will have to be very careful of his little legs and size and his foster mum will talk to them about a safe place for puppy naps called a crate.
As Tango is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Tango, please contact his foster carer Lauren on hitthesand@hotmail.com Tango is in Salamander Bay, NSW.
Tango’s adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
