About Scully
Scully is a six and a half year old pedigree German Shepherd who is in care with her fellow rescue shepherds at Kurri Kurri near Newcastle.
This sweet girl will be a loving and gentle companion dog for a lady or a couple. She enjoys a slow walk but show her a squeaky toy and that is all she needs to keep her happy. Not a demanding dog Scully is from a registered breeder in NSW.
Scully is completely trust worthy in the home and will sit patiently beside your chair without making demands.
Scully is best suited to a home without cats or pocket pets. She is social with her fellow rescue shepherds but we can see she would prefer the company of a calm male dog of similar size. True to the shepherd temperament Scully can be reactive to small dogs when walked on a lead. This comes about when she is confronted with a reactive small dog who invades her personal space.
If you think you can give Scully a new home, please contact us by clicking on the link in the screen “Enquire about this pet”.
Medical notes
Scully is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
