We are now taking applications for Humperdoo!
This gorgeous boy has a few requirements, so please read in full, before making an application!
Humperdoo is a 15month old Exotic Shorthair who is looking for an indoor only, mature (adults only or kids over 13) home in Melbourne. He is good with other friendly animals and would be happy with cat and or dog friends or on his own. Humps requires a home that understands that he has had major surgeries to save his eyes while in care and that is committed to and financially able to provide any future treatment he may require, to preserve his sight. At this stage we believe he has had all the surgery and treatment his eyes will require, but there are no guarantees and we need to know that his forever home is fully committed to him, in sickness and in health!
Humperdoo requires a drinking fountain in his forever home, as he won’t drink stagnant water and will create his own waves, if he doesn’t have access to ‘running’ water!
In addition to multiple eye surgeries, Humperdoo has also had a ‘nose job’, to try to increase the airflow through his nose, as he tends to pant a lot when he exerts himself. This wasn’t as successful as we’d hoped, so he does still pant, if he over does it.
Humps is a happy, extremely playful boy who will bring so much joy to a very lucky home!

Medical notes
Humperdoo has had multiple corneal grafts to save his eyes. He still has some scarring on his left eye from the surgery which may take some time to clear up, but he has a clean bill of eye health from his specialist
Adoption details
Initially, please complete the relevant adoption questionnaire on our website - squishiesrescue.org.au
Once the questionnaire has been returned, we will contact you to discuss.
Should the pet be potentially a good match for your home, we will arrange a meet with you and the pet, and should the meet be successful, the pet will be adopted with a 2 week settling in period to ensure they adapt well.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
