About Libby Long Legs ~ 5yo Great Dane (on trial 4/10/19
Libby Long Legs. With legs for days even Elle MacPherson is jealous! Meet supermodel Libby who is a 5 year old Harlequin Great Dane looking for her forever home where she can finally settle and share her sparkling personality and life with a family of her own.
This stunner has been from home to home and we just cannot understand why. She has the sweetest, most gentle demeanour and a cheeky and fun personality. She can show signs of being spirited when she gets the gangly legged zoomies or excited about going for her morning stroll parading down the runway - but otherwise is normally a couch potato always up for a snooze.
Being an unpretentious lady, Libby loves her food and dines morning and night on protein and carbs to keep her fashionista hot bod. She can tuck some food away, but not as much as you think a great dane would - the key being good quality over quantity. And not worried about calories, she does love an ice-cream every now and again.
Libby shares her modelling life with 3 retired hotties (1 male and 2 female) who are fast becoming besties. She is intrigued by the cat and follows her curiously much to the cat’s chagrin. Although a young 5 year old rookie, she is an old spirit with eyes as a lens straight to her beautiful soft soul. It can only be assumed that this gorgeous young lass didn’t previously get the opportunity to make many doggie friends as she does get into a tizz upon seeing other dogs. With some gentle coaxing and soothing, time and assimilation she soon becomes friends with everyone.
When not strutting her catwalk swagger, Libby spends her time inside lazing about. She sleeps inside and you will always find her in her happy place - under the bed (or on the bed, or on the spare bed or on the couch).
To keep her svelte shapely figure a daily 30-40 minute walk is what Libby loves best. She enjoys stretching her sexy pins with a few minutes of running if you allow, but is happy to indulge in leisurely walk. For a confident woman, she is very manageable on the leash. She will give a gentle pull at first in excitement to strut her stuff, but settles gracefully. Upon approach of another dog, she will need some further training and socialism to overcome this. And being a healthy girl, she will need someone with some strength to keep her in check.
A luxury ride within the car or limousine is an outing Libby loves to indulge in. She thoroughly enjoys travelling and seeing the sights of the world and allowing the wind to stream through her billowing cheeks and ears.
This luscious lady has been around and is good with kids but would be suitable for older kids considering her statuesque, aristocratic airs and graces and a happy thumping powerful tail. Keeping in mind her larger physique and weighing in at a whopping 54 kilos, she can often be misjudged as intimidating.
Being a big breed Miss Libby also has a big bark. But she is a lover, not a fighter. She will jump up to say hello over the fence therefore 5 foot minimum fences are required. Fortunately, she is not a jumper and has no intentions of leaving home and heading to the runways of New York or Paris.
Recently it was discovered that Libby had a low grade spindle cell sarcoma on her right hind leg. This was caught at its very early stages and has been removed successfully with expectations of a normal healthy life.
