Clove arrived into care as a 24 hour old orphan. One of our spectacular foster carers offered to hand raise him but the suggestion to try and introduce him to a mumma who herself had just given birth to 4 kittens was put forward. We thought that it was definitely worth a try and to say it was a success is an understatement. Mumma instantly began to groom and feed him as if he was one of her own and boy has he thrived. It has been wonderful to watch Clove’s journey, rescue can be heart breaking at times but it’s outcomes like this that remind carers why we do what we do.

Clove is smoochy, inquisitive, playful and courageous, he will tackle anything with enthusiasm and confidence, this little guy can achieve big things.

Clove is always the first to run for cuddles when you enter the room, at times even ignoring food for belly tickles. There is something about this little guy that stands out, maybe it’s because he had such a shaky start to life that made him a fighter, or maybe it’s his endearing gentle nature that draws people to him.
