Charlie

Charlie is such a sweet, gentle soul who is really chilled out and just goes with the flow.

He is a purebred whippet and has striking blue and white markings, making this boy quite unique. However, Charlie’s most special attribute is his beautiful temperament. He is very calm and he is gentle and polite when meeting new dogs. Although he often seems introverted, he loves pats and cuddles and playing with other dogs.

Charlie’s previous owner has told us he is very well behaved with young children, and developed an incredible bond with two intellectually disabled children he used to live with.
Charlie is most content when he is by the side of his human. He would also love to share his life with another medium-to-large, calm dog, as he tends to becomes a little anxious when dogs start to play rough.

His ideal owner would be active and would enjoy taking Charlie out to explore the world. He would love to go running with his new owner and then spend the day cuddling on the couch. Given Charlie loves his humans so much, he would prefer his new owner does not leave him for long periods of time. It is essential Charlie is allowed to sleep inside the house as his fine coat means he becomes cold easily.

Given Charlie has a history of chasing wildlife and rabbits, we believe it is best he is not rehomed to a family with cats or small dogs. His athleticism also means he cannot be taken off lead until he has received significantly more obedience training and he will also need great fencing to keep him safe and secure.

Charlie has been the perfect house guest while in foster care. He is toilet trained and is quiet throughout the night.

Typical of his kind, Charlie loves to be by your side, happily doing anything you choose.
