About Cookie ~ Bull Arab x Staffy (on trial 20/4/19)
Cookie is a female 14 week old Bull Arab X Staffy but she will not be as big as the typical Bull Arab. She is a very quiet puppy at the moment, but she is coming out of her shell each day to play with the other puppies and my Kelpies. Cookie did not have a good start in life and was picked on by older dogs. She is quite timid and will take time and lots of TLC to become what she should be. With my Kelpies she is learning that not all adult dogs are aggressive and out to hurt you. She has come a long way in the two weeks that she has been with us and she will steal your heart for sure.
Cookie loves to be cuddled and petted but will still flinch when you go towards her to pick her up so she is not suitable for young children or a noisy household. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Cookie will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Cookie needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Cookie is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
If you think you can give this lovely girl the home she needs, please consider as she will blossom in time. Please note the pic of Cookie with Jemma my Kelpie, what a joy to see!
For more information or to meet Cookie, please contact her foster carer Lorraine on adoptdrn@gmail.com Cookie is in Salamander Bay area, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle).
Cookie's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
