About Ellie
NO MORE ENQUIRIES PLEASE. TRIAL AND ADOPTION PENDING. MDR thanks everyone who showed interest in our beautiful Ellie.
“Without doubt Ellie is just an absolute delight and one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of fostering; in fact I would place her in my Top 5 dogs of all time, and I have fostering for 15 years” says her carer.
Ellie is a pure-bred King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and is 5 years old. (Date of birth: 05.11.13). She is an absolute delight to be around and is very devoted. She goes with the flow and is very quiet and relaxed. She loves getting plenty of cuddles and pats and will follow you around from room to room. She has a favourite lounge chair that she loves sleeping on during the day.
A Little bit overweight at this time, (current weight 10.0kg) but with the right food and exercise she will slim down to her ideal weight. Her diet consists of cooked chicken and kibble which she loves. She does require at least a half hour walk twice a day – her carer takes her out on an extenda-lead so that she can have a run. She does tend to wander and get tangled around a tree, but she just wants to explore everything around her. She is just so happy and cheerful and loves to have a meet and greet – human or doggy, she doesn’t mind which.
She must have the company of another dog in the home as she comes from a family where dogs were her constant companions.
Ellie sleeps in her bed at night (inside,of course) or on her favourite lounge chair, and there is not a peep from her until morning when it is time to get up and enjoy another day. She is house-trained and is very clean inside the house.
Ellie must have a good sized backyard in which she can run around. It must have good, secure fences and gates (preferably colourbond) . She must have access inside 24 hours a day and be kept inside during the heat of the day. She needs to be a part of the family and included as such.
Ellie was a very reluctant surrender but unfortunately her owner was no longer able to care for her and give her the attention that she had been used to.
Ellie comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated including yearly Kennel Cough, yearly Proheart Heartworm injection and a full dental (as at February 2019).

.......................
Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
