About Patch
My name is Patch and I'm so ready for my forever family! I'm a young boy who loves tummy rubs, balls, squeaky toys and having a good play, but I'm also pretty chilled and happy to go entertain myself or find a place to snooze when life gets exhausting.
I'm toilet trained but my humans will need to show me where to go when I first come home and for the first few days. I'm quick a super quick learner and already have a basics down pat! I would love to continue learning new things and for my humans to take me to ongoing training using positive reinforcement methods.
While I don't really like to dwell on the past it's important that you know, I didn't have the best start to life. I missed out on experiencing most of the things other puppies get to see and do which means that I can sometimes become a little overwhelmed when meeting new people.
Once I feel comfortable with you my favourite thing is to greet you by flopping over and demanding a belly scratch. I love making new doggy friends and I'm currently sharing my foster home with a big doggy brother!
My ideal home will be one where my family is patient and understanding. They will need to go slow with me while I continue to find my paws in this big wide world. I need a calm home with older teenage children.
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
