About Lilly
This adorable little girl is very fat and cuddly. She has loads of wrinkles so we think she has a lot of growing to do. The vet estimates that she will be the size of her mum, who is thickset and a shade over 30 kg. Mum is a mixture of breeds, and we think dad is mainly Rotti. Lilly is a doing well with her house training, but needs a routine and still need her human to think for her. She is able to go through the night until about 5.30 am at the moment with careful management. We can already see that she has a calm and quiet nature, and that she loves a big morning nap, and a nice afternoon nap, with a few little naps in between!
Lilli came into care from Epenarra community with her mum and brother Jacob. Mum is a lovely natured dog who gets on with dogs and humans - she has been a great mum, and is very playful with the kids. We can see that Lilly has inherited her bombproof nature. Mum was homeless, and a local worker was feeding and caring for her and her puppies on the Council grounds. The puppies have done really well, and are growing up beautifully. They will both make wonderful family dogs, both of them.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Lilly's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Lilly is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
