Little Goldie has come a long way in such a short time! This bundle of joy just keeps surprising us with how she is adapting to foster life. Goldie has spent the last few weeks in care learning to dog and we can successfully say she is nailing it!
Goldie has used her foster dog pals to learn what she is supposed to do and plays mirror on their behaviours so well. She has learnt to play rough with her naughty foster sister who likes to grab at her and drag her around the yard. They are often seen running down the paddock in the afternoon tails wagging and slobber flying. She has started to talk to us…Another behaviour learnt from her foster sister and likes to tell us whats what at dinner time and when we get home from being out. She also likes to try play with her foster brother’s toys, but he isn’t a good sharer.
She has learnt to walk on the leash with time and is now adjusting to a halter and dog training, which is still some hard brain work for her. Goldie is still learning to swim and enjoy water play, however with a few more visits we are sure she will be a keen water pup.
When we first met Goldie she was pretty scared of adults especially men, however she could not get enough of the kids that visited her. She probably wouldn’t suit little kids as may accidently knock them over with her excitement.
Although she has not been allowed to live the inside pampered pooch life the few times she has been allowed inside Goldie seems to adjust like she has always been there. She hasn’t had any accidents and obediently curled up on our feet. Goldie will eat whatever is in her bowl fruit, vegetables, meat and biscuits. She is not picky at all.
Goldie needs the best second chance. She will adapt into any home with a bit of love and tender loving care. She is just a little darling. If you are looking at a pooch than look no further Goldie will add a sparkle to your life you cant miss!
