Hi all. Aniseed here. Look, I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty sad. I have been in a foster home since I was born so I am confident, playful and cuddly but not on person has applied to adopt me. I watched my five siblings get adopted and I just can’t figure out why no one wants me.
I have heaps of purrsonality, as you’ll see below, but I am a black cat and maybe that is putting people off as I’m not as colourful as those greys or gingers.

Did you know, in ye olde times, black cats were thought to be so lucky and give assurance that sailors would return safely home from sea that many black cats cost so much as to be unaffordable for seafarers! All of us black cats left waiting for our forever homes think you should snap us up quickly!

I do really like to play and boy am I so entertaining. There are lots of acrobatics and zoomies and I am bound to put a smile on your face. And because I am a little bit older I know how to entertain myself. I mean, I will play with you if you want me to but if you don’t have all the time in the world, I’ll go do my own thing. I don’t get up to no good. I am pretty good at only playing with things that are mine. Although I have to admit I really like my foster mum’s hair ties. She likes to play hide and seek with them. She puts them down and then I go find them and play with it until it disappears under a couch or something, then foster mum has to go find them!
Once I am done playing, I will come sit right up against you on the couch. I love a good head scratch and just love company. I like to sleep at the end of the bed and come say hello to you when you wake up in the morning. When I am playing, I check in with you regularly, just to make sure you haven’t forgotten me.

I currently still live with my mummy and we play and wrestle all the time. I have helped her get more confident around hoomans. I live with other kitties too so with a slow introduction; I reckon I can make more friends! I have seen a doggy a few times and haven’t really been bothered. I am just a fantastic all round kitty so young children won’t bother me a bit either.

Please come meet me, I just know we will be bestest friends for life if you just give me a chance. And don’t be put off by those things in my medical notes, it really isn’t anything to be scared of, I promise you, I am perfectly healthy.

Medical Notes: Aniseed was exposed to Ringworm, a common fungal infection, and Calicivirus, a respiratory infection. He did not show symptoms and was given the all clear by the vet.
