About Monarch
Meet Monarch, the fascinating two-faced cat!
Calling someone two-faced is usually an insult – but in the case of the amazing Chimera cat, its nothing but a compliment.
These happy accidents of nature occur when two embryos, that were to be two cats, merge into one. There are no lasting health issues because of this merge, just a rare and strikingly beautiful cat!
Basically, our Chimera girl is her own twin and we just love her!
If you’ve been looking for a lap-cat, Monarch is your girl! She is currently in foster care and her foster mum says she is the most loving cat she has ever met.
Monarch doesn’t need someone 24/7, but is happiest when she is by the side of her human and loves to have at least a paw on you. If you’re outside hanging out washing, you can be sure Monarch will be waiting and watching for you to come back inside.
Monarch loves her pats and will rub up against you, actively seeking your affection. She is so gentle, that even when she plays, she doesn’t use her claws.
Like all our cats, Monarch needs to be an inside only cat unless in an outdoor enclosure. She does like to sit on the window sill and watch the world go by – she is a little afraid of thunder though and may hide under a bed!
Monarch would best suit a home with a family that has the time to shower her with the love she truly deserves. An older couple or a family with older children would be perfect.
Monarch’s adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccination and microchipping, as well as all flea and worming treatments. She is ready and waiting for her forever family now!
Medical notes
