About Merlin
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Merlin was rehomed by paws 2 years ago and, as is the case sometimes, merlin's adoption was not successful (no fault of merlin's). We were asked to take him back (which we did happily) as our policy is to take any dog back into care if, for any reason, the new owners can no longer keep them. Merlins foster carer has had him for about one month and thinks he is the most wonderful dog she has ever had the pleasure of fostering. Merlin is a very quiet dog who likes to snooze either near you or behind the couch. He enjoys going outside in the garden to sleep and sunbake and will greet you with a yawn or a smile when you call him. Merlin is a 'lazy bones' most of the time but does enjoy a walk. He trots along beside his foster carer, his doggy foster brothers and the baby in the stroller, just enjoying sniffing the air and doing the occasional pee on a tree or bush. Merlin is completely house trained and sleeps all night long in the laundry with his doggy foster brothers barney and mr smee. When he is feeling sleepy he trots himself off to his bed and is happy to see the other dogs when they join him for the night as merlin loves them! he enjoys a bath and, as he has dry eye, his carer tends to his eyes daily but he makes no fuss at all and enjoys the attention he receives from her. Merlin is fabulous with cats, great with children including his foster carer's little baby. He sits on the mat beside her, enjoying her little sounds and smiling to himself. Life is good for merlin and he is very happy to be part of the family. He doesn't bark much unless there is something to bark at but 'talks' to you when you arrive home which his carer says sounds very cute. All in all, merlin is absolutely no trouble at all and his foster carer said it will be hard to say good bye to him because he is like a real live teddy bear. Merlin's new home must be as a house dog and his coat is not high maintenance, just needing a bath and a brush every couple of weeks. Merlin will be happiest with a family who don't go out to work all week and leave him and he would also like a doggy friend as he does enjoy their company. Merlin comes comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and with nsw local council lifetime registrationfor the special adoption fee of $150. He has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic).
