About Rosie
**** The first photo is me now, the second photo is of me in the pound.
The next four photos are of me in the first few days i was in care, i was shut down and not sure about anything at all. I am no longer shut down as you can tell by the photos, but i just wanted to show you my journey ****
Hi my name is Rosie or Rose for short,
i am still learning my name as i came in without a name.
You see i found myself dumped in a NSW pound, i had not long had puppies but they have no idea of where they were! Just by looking at me you can tell ive just had litter after litter.
i was covered in ticks - hundreds if not thousands filled my ear holes, and i could not hear!
i was shut down in the pound and didnt lift my head or wag my tail once (my pound photo is amongst the photos above)
i got placed on transport and they pleaded with rescues to have a spot, at this time of year everyone is full - but thankfully Sar opened up a spot so i made my way there.
i got off transport and had to be lifted in to the car i refused to walk and sank to the ground.
i was afraid i was going to be hit, as i would shy and shake from the hand if they went to pat me.
on the way home i was treated with a meat pattie! i wouldnt eat it at first until they hand feed me.
My new foster home was scary at first, i was bathed which took ages - all the ticks were dead and majority had been removed by the pound ranger. i got combed over and over removing all the ticks!
after a few days in care i finally started to learn it wasnt a bad place at all, i was loved and was being feed! My tail started to wag and i started to play with the other dogs.
i learnt how to sit as im very treat orientated!
I love to go on walks, and walk well on the lead! For exciting new places i lke to jump alongside you as im so very happy!
oh and the best part is when im really happy i SMILE!
i am currently in care with small and large dogs, cats and older children.
i need a home where i am allowed to be inside and to be shown what its like to be truly loved.
i would love to be shown the amazing world around me, so i hope my new family takes me on a lot of adventures!
