About Lucy
Lucy needs a new foster home urgently 😩 unfortunately she hasn't settled at her current foster home & isn't getting along with their dog. Lucy needs a home with no other pets at this stage (or the ability to keep her separate).
Lucy has been let down so much by the humans in her past, but she is a beautiful girl who in the right home with some patience will make an excellent companion.
Lucy is a very friendly 5 year old female American Bulldog. She isn't completely deaf, but does have some hearing impairment and knows a couple of basic sign commands.
Lucy likes to snuggle on the couch & hang out watching TV with her humans, someone who is home most of the time is preferred. And her sheer excitement and bum wiggle is just the thing to brighten your day when you have been at work. Lucy loves eating, playing with toys and doing bulldog zoomies around the backyard.
If you have a quiet home, are around a lot and don't have any other pets then Lucy would be your ideal companion 😀 We will be able to provide you with support to communicate well with Lucy and teach her more signs through are friends at Deaf Dog Rescue Australia.
Please get in contact if you can foster Lucy, and please submit an application if we don't have your details on file already https://www.minisbulldogrescue.com/apply
Medical notes
Lucy is microchipped, desexed and up to date with vaccinations. Lucy does have a hearing impairment, but isn't completely deaf - she knows some basic signs and is eager to learn more.

Applicants will be assessed in terms of best suitability for the dog. A meet & greet and yard inspection are essential parts of the screening process.
The first 2 weeks for every adoption is a trial period to ensure that both the dog and family are a good match. And once everyone is happy the dog's microchip will be changed across to the new family.
