Barnicle

Barnicle is an affectionate boy who loves to be your shadow and enjoys regular pats. Barney was an outside dog before SODR rescued him. He is suffering separation anxiety when he is left alone and will bark in distress even if you leave him for a short time.

An ideal home for Barney would be one where he has constant company i.e. a retire who is home often, someone who works from home or where his has another calm dog as his companion.

Barney has not been socialised with many dogs. He is timid around big dogs, puppies and energetic dogs. In the 2 weeks, the foster carer has looked after him, he is becoming more confident around active dogs in the park. He gets on well with terriers, Cavaliers, small dogs and calm dogs.

Barney enjoys walking, but doesn’t necessarily need lots of exercise, as he would much prefer just to be with his human.

Barney has epilepsy and requires daily medication twice a day so his new owner must be prepared to manage and pay for medication.
