Jose Conseco

Hi there! My name is Jose Conseco - I think it's a pretty cool name! Try saying it 3 times really fast - it's pronounced as 'hozay consayco.'
But my name isn't my most important feature - just like they say, a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet. You can call me whatever you like and I'll be just as loving, smoochy and downright handsome!
As you can probably tell, life has been a bit tough for me at times. I've spent a lot of time living on the streets, fending for myself and having to get by. It's not always easy and I've been beaten up a few times by other cats which is how I came to contract FIV. (Incidentally, FIV isn't actually a very big deal and one of the lovely volunteers here can answer any questions you might have about it).
I was definitely someone's pet at some point in time because I love people and pats and I know how to use a litter tray and so on - so don't think that adopting me is like adopting a wild animal or something! In fact I am SO excited to finally have a home to live in where I can just sleep all day, have regular meals provided and generally be pampered and loved. I'll be an awesome, easy-going housemate for my new family and will be eternally grateful.

I'm easy-going and happy to be handled so I'll be fine in a home with children. I should be fine to live with other pets too, pending a sensible and slow introduction period.
I'm an all-round cool dude just looking for a second chance. Take me home and you won't regret it!
