About Isla ๐
So apparently, it's time for me to find my 'Forever home'.....I'm not too sure how I feel about that, but my foster family have assured me that it will be perfect! In order for them to find me the best home possible, we need to be a great match, so let me introduce myself....
Isla is my name (pronounced Eye-la), and I'm a mix of American and English Staffy. I'm almost 10 weeks old and love nothing more than to spend time with my humans. I have an older host dog and cat in my foster home, and whilst I love to play and annoy my big 'foster brother', I'm not sure about the cat! It is quite a fascinating little creature, but I'm not sure if she wants to be my friend just yet.
My foster family love to kiss and cuddle me and they allow me to sleep on the big bed! I know I know....spoilt! But you will never hear me complain about it ๐ I spend lots of time inside with my foster family and doing extremely well with toilet training. I do love to run and play in the backyard and roll in the grass though, so my forever home will need to have a good size yard.
Car rides...OMG! I love them! And...I'm perfectly well behaved when travelling in them too. I don't mind if we are going to visit friends, heading to the beach, or even going to the vet, I'll get comfortable and enjoy the constant motion....you can wake me up when we get there.
I would very much enjoy having an older doggie companion in my forever home. They would need to be young enough to keep up with me and old enough to teach me some good doggie etiquette ๐
Whilst I'm an awesome little pup, we are hard work and need lots of training and guidance, so you must be willing to put in the effort. I promise to put in just as much effort to learn!
To help get you started with training, our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as โsitโ, โdropโ, โstayโ, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppyโs not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
My vet work will be complete on Friday 15th February, which means that I'll be ready to leave my foster home shortly after. I'm located in Bateau Bay on the Central Coast NSW and now quite excited to meet my new family.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
