About Lexi *On Trial in Her New Home*
*LEXI IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Lovely Lexi is a typical super-affectionate human-loving Staffy who will rub her head against you softly before flipping over onto her back for her fave belly rub! Her foster carer reckons Lexi needs a home with at least two humans as she has so much love to share!
Lexi is unique in her appearance given that she only has one eye – we like to think she’s always winking!!! As we rescued her from our local pound we’ve got no idea whether she was born that way or if she lost it in an accident, all we do know is that it gives Lexi character
This little powerhouse loves children, often crouching down to allow them to pat her back. When first meeting them (or any humans really!), she does tend to get super-excited and jump up so a home with older dog savvy kids would suit her best, and she’s not an older/elderly person’s dog as she may accidentally knock them over with her playful exuberance, though once she’s gotten over the thrill of the greeting Lexi can be quite calm and is happy to follow you around or just chill out close by. With older kids Lexi will happily chase a thrown ball (even bringing it back on occasion!) and she’ll also engage in a game of tug-a-war with a rope toy. She happily shares her toys!

Lexi is crate trained as well as being housetrained and uses a doggie door. In fact she’s so well behaved inside that her foster carer, who works full-time, is quite happy to let Lexi have the run of the place while she’s at work only popping home during her lunchbreak for a quick “hi” and a play. Given that Staffies are happiest being with their humans, we’d like to see Lexi’s indoor / outdoor lifestyle continued in her forever home
Clever girl Lexi can ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ on command, and will always sit for her fave pats and treats. She ain’t no marathon runner though does enjoy a short walk around the block and believes it’s her duty to greet every person she comes across! Lexi likes other dogs though can be a bit excitable in her approach and a tad rough for some - luckily Lexi enjoys her own company and is happy to be an only dog. We must warn you though that Lexi HATES cats, so a cat-free home is essential!
Lexi is a fairly quiet dog who usually only barks for a reason. She is a gentle eater who loves food and isn’t at all fussy, and is not bothered by humans being close by while she is relishing a meal. Being a black dog Lexi feels the heat though surprisingly isn’t into doggie pools or sprinklers preferring a shady spot in the backyard, or better still chilling out under the airconditioner during our Mildura hotness.
In summing up, loveable Lexi is the friendliest girl, greeting everyone she meets with a big Staffy smile and an excited wag of her tail…..And of course, a cheeky wink!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
