Are you looking for a puppy – but you don’t want to go through the pain of toilet training?
Are you looking for a puppy that will always be super excited to see you, no matter how long you’ve been gone?
Introducing Prickles! Prickles by name, but definitely not by nature.
She is a 10 month old American Bulldog cross.
She is bouncy and excitable. She loves stealing her humans seat when they get up, or alternatively, sleeping on their lap while they watch TV in the evenings.
She knows how to sit before crossing the road and sit before having her dinner.
When she initially meets new people she is a bit wary – but soon warms up and will be coming up for pats and tummy scratches in no time.
Prickles needs ongoing training as she is a puppy still. She responds well to treat training but is easily distracted by dogs being walked, cars or generally anything moving.
She is still learning that jumping up on people (and dogs) is not polite and does mouth sometimes to get attention. Her foster family is working on breaking her of these habits.
Overnight she sleeps well in a crate. She currently lives with an older, submissive bull arab who she likes to play with and play tug-o-war.
She loves her kong, especially when it is filled with peanut butter and treats. She has lots of toys that she loves to carry around and chew on.
She's not keen on dogs that approach her while she is on the lead, but is ok meeting off lead.
Her perfect family would be one that is committed to her ongoing training and socialising, who allows her to come inside and be part of the family and who will fill her life with play time and love. She will need regular exercise - she loves her morning and evening walks and all the smells. She will reward you with her expressive face that will keep you laughing for years to come. She would really blossom as an only dog who gets all the attention.
