'Jimmy'
Long haired Border Collie
Black & White
Desexed male
Born August 2014
Microchip 941000015801837
The Gentle Master of the house!
Jimmy is a delightful 4.5yo long haired Border Collie who is cat and other pet friendly.
He is house trained, travels well in car and walks well on the lead. He has no fear of thunder, lightening or water. He shows no signs of separation anxiety.
An around pawfect dog!
Master Jimmy likes his routine 'just so'.
He is very gentlemanly at all times but if you or a fursibling steps out of line he will set you straight...in a very gentlemanly manner!
If his foster carer is late with his morning walk he will sit & stare at his harness on the hook, until she gets the hint!
...or if one of his fosterfursiblings is sitting in 'his' spot he will sit & stare at them until they get the hint! or if he wants to go in/out the door he will sit & stare until you open the door for his Highness...lol..
His foster carer thought she would test this theory a little bit more, and told him to 'sit & stay' until she 'offered' him BOTH the tray of the ute AND the open door to the cab of the ute at the same time...lol
Jimmy is a very clever dog..he sat there (And I'm sure his foster carer could she the cogs working in his brain!) Until he walked up to the back of the ute 1st, had a look, then walked to the open door, and then sat & stared (because he'd made up his mind!)until his foster carer said ' in you get!'
He is a very well mannered, thinking dog, and as such we think he needs a 'considered' home life.
Jim loves his daily walks or play at the off leash oval and is friendly to all .
Jimmy loves food!
His food ,your food ,anybody who's offering ,or not...he will sneak it off a low coffee table if you have been silly enough to leave it there unattended! More fool you .lol
He will approach a foodbowl if it is already being used by other resident pets, and if he thinks it's his turn he will give a small warning bark to any pets that approach while he is eating.
He has never nipped, barked or bitten his foster carer when she has purposely removed food from the bowl to test him.
And he is very gentle when taking treats from your hand.
Master Jimmy needs a household that will make him an integral part of their life , whether that be walking the kids to school, going as a spectator with the kids or adults at sports events, going on pet friendly holidays with you or simply sitting by your feet as you have a cuppa at the local cafè.
Jimmy is used to a household with older kids and preferably other pets who understand he likes to be top dog.
Master Jimmy feels safe and assured and therefore relaxed, if he has a routine that works like clockwork.
If you can offer exactly what Jimmy needs to stay happy and healthy and play an integral part in your family, please fill in one of our Expression of Interest (EOI)forms located on our website or follow the prompts on Jimmy's Petrescue link below.

Medical notes
*Jimmy has no medical issues*
But his beautiful luxurious long coat was very matted when he came into CARMAR care. The professional Dog Groomer tried to comb out the Matts but it was too big a job and Jimmy was a bit stressed so she gave him a short summer clip instead. His beautiful long coat will take a good 12 months to return to its original long length but Jimmy is now moving alot more freely(the Matts were so dense in parts that it restricted his movement) and he wont suffer any heat related stress in this very hot 2019 Janurary/Feburary weather.
Jimmy has no medical issues.
