About Reg ~ Mastiff X Staffy (on trial 5/4/19)
Reg is a placid 6 month old black and white Mastiff cross Staffy. He is looking for a family who is committed to maintaining his placid personality through training, cuddles, and enrichment.
Reg is well socialised with other dogs, getting along with both big and small breeds. He is however going to be a very large adult so would suit being with a dog of medium to large size.
We always recommend puppy training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise and training.
Reg needs to be welcome inside when people are home and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He currently sleeps in the laundry with access to outside through the dog door and has been taking himself outside to the toilet. He is going well with toilet training inside the house with minimal accidents.
Reg is white around his nose and an eye so sun protection will be important to make sure he doesn’t get sunburnt in these areas of the face. Reg enjoys playing with other dogs, he loves chasing big balls around and seeks out toys to play with, especially squeaky ones.
For the warmer weather we got Reg a kiddy plastic pool that he excitedly plays in. Actually the weather doesn’t need to be hot as he just loves water! I’m happy to let this kiddy pool go with him as Reg gets so much enjoyment out of it through the day.
For more information or to meet Reg, please contact his foster carer Jaime by email jaihol@bigpond.com or on 0410 491 882, leaving a message with a name and contact details. Reg is in Maryland, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle).
Reg's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
