About Cilla
CILLA UPDATE:
Cilla’s situation has become critical. She is currently housed in our private boarding kennels, where she can take herself to any pen at will by jumping/climbing over the 6’ mesh fences, to get to where I am, which isn’t ideal for her safety or that of other dogs.
It’s doubtful she could jump 6’ colourbond as there are no toeholds.
Cilla’s home doesn’t necessarily have to have fencing to keep her in, for example she could live out of town with farm fencing or no fencing. So long as her owner is around, Cilla stays close by, she’s a very loyal girl. The problem is when you have to leave her, then she will get out - not to run away, but to find you.
As I write this, she is lying at the back door with our other dogs.
Surely there’s a home somewhere where she could be put in a yard with a roof on it, when her owner goes out, or a large crate. Perhaps she would be ok in the house - that would almost certainly be the case once she was familiar with her new home.
CILLA’s ORIGINAL STORY below;
Cilla is one of the sweetest girls you could meet. Good with people including small ones, dogs including small ones, (yet to be cat tested), a lovely, friendly, loyal girl who loves to hang out wherever her humans are.
The poor girl spent a number of weeks at the Pound, while her previous owner was given plenty of time to make arrangements to bring her home, as that’s what they indicated they wanted to do, however in the end all avenues to return her home were exhausted and she was still at the Pound. From there she came to us for another chance at life.
By all indications, she has had a litter of puppies every six months of her life - we are now ensuring she doesn’t have to go through motherhood again by desexing her. Her leash manners are improving with each daily walk and she sits when asked.
If you work more often than not, Cilla would like a home with another dog for companionship. She needs 6’ colourbond fencing, to contain her while you’re out.
Cilla is in care at Moree, NSW. She is available for a donation in lieu of an adoption fee.
Moree has daily flights to Sydney and further afield.
Dog road transportation is available at the adopter’s expense.
Medical notes
Microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.
