About Ellie
Could you be my new best friend? My name is Ellie & I’m as loyal as can be.I am a Long Haired Chihuahua, I might have a teeny bit of another breed in me, but mostly Chihuahua. My foster family tell me that I’m a very good little girl. I am house trained, know basic commands and even take my toys back to bed with me. I will stay close to your heels as humans are my love. I will advise you of any guests arriving to the home, please note that I do have very strong views with this.
While I may be a bit vocal when settling into a new environment this will settle once I’m familiar with all the new noises around your home. I settled after just 2 weeks with my foster family, the barking dogs & garbage trucks are no longer a concern to me. I love to snuggle & show everyone I meet just how loveable I can be. I have kisses, many kisses for those that wish to share. I travel fine in the car as long as I am close to someone. I have been known to be shy but this is only at the vets. I tuck my head under my foster mums neck until the vet offers me a pat or cuddle.
I love my walks & to explore around the yard. I get along fine with other little quiet dogs but bigger dogs can scare me. Oh & the dogs that jump at me well, no, I won’t have a bar of them. I’m a lady you see & I like other dogs to have good manners too. I do like children & will jump up for pats. I have only been tested with gentle children over 10 though at my foster home. So it is best for me that children are older please.
My foster mum thinks I would be suited to a variety of homes but I wouldn’t like to be left alone. If you are working long hours I would need another small very chilled out dog for company but if it’s just going to be you & me perhaps you would be retired or working from the home. A doggie door is best for me so I can come & go as I please.
I will need to be inside the home when left alone as this is the only life I’ve ever known you see. I do love fluffy dog beds but I am also a very big fan of human beds too. Have you seen my big beautiful brown eyes; I could just be the sassy & very loving little girl for your forever home. If you like the sound of me please go further down the page and fill out an Expression of Interest.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Kawana Vet hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant X-rays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heartworm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
