About Lenny
My name is Lenny, but my friends call me Len-Len, and my foster dad calls me “LEAVE IT!”
I'm a year old wolfhound cross, with a beautiful black, silver, and gold brindle coat. The humans think I might have a bit of labrador in me but, really, my breed is a bit of a mystery.
Just know that I’m friendly, gentle, and always game for a wrestle!
I was left in a hot, lonely rural pound, maybe because I’m a bit of a goofball. I’ve got long legs that slip and slide all over my foster mum's nice wooden floors, and a big loud woof, which all makes me seem much older than I am.
But the truth is that I’m still just a puppy and I’m still learning!
I respond to my name, sit for treats, and am learning that “leave it!” means put it down and leave it alone.
As I’m still a puppy at heart , I love to play games with you and go for walks
I am happy and friendly with other dogs, but I did meet one I didn’t like, so as always correct introductions are important.
I’ve never been around cats but there’s nothing in my nature that says either will be a problem.
I have recently been spending time with some smaller humans and I just L O V E them, where have they been hiding all my life ...
It’s important that my furever family are ready to really commit to my training. I’m a growing lad (I’m currently about 30kg , though we don’t think I’ll get much bigger) and have lots of puppy energy to burn. I’m going to need someone who will help me be the very best dog I can be, and I just KNOW I’ve got it in me to be the goodest boy. The rescue can put you in touch with some great trainers if you need a little help! 👍
My foster mum says to tell you all that I’m currently in foster care in Burpengary and that we’re ready to meet you right now! Please send a message to the team with lots of information about you, your family, your home, and the kind of lifestyle you can offer me, and they’ll get back to you quicker than I can clear a bowl of kibble! Well, maybe not that fast…
Lots of love,
Lenny (but you can call me Len-Len)
