About Sally
Pretty Sally.
Cast on the scrap heap because she didn’t measure up as a working dog.
She was rescued by a young lady and her partner, however, Sally was so frightened of the young woman’s partner, that they kept her on a chain because they worried she might run away in fear.
I’ve only had Sally a few days, however even on day one, she was not afraid of my husband at all (an older man). I’m tending to think she was beaten by a young man during her “training” hence her fear of her rescuer’s partner.
Sally happily came into my home to meet my small dogs and the cat and she was fine with them all. She’s a friendly girl who answers to her name, but she’s a little on the shy side at the moment. I’ve only had her a few days and expect her confidence to build once she gets to know us better.
Sally would love a home with an active family and perhaps another active dog, but she might also enjoy a quiet life, one on one with an older person. Either way, I feel a home with another dog would boost her confidence.
Being Kelpie x Border Collie she will need a reasonable amount of exercise and activities to keep her body and mind active. Things like flyball, obedience, jogging with her owner, outings to the beach, river, dog parks, or a home on acreage are some things that come to mind.
Sally is in care at Moree, NSW. Moree has daily flights to Sydney and further afield. Dog road transport is also available.

Adoption details
Please enquire through Petrescue.
We don’t require a formal application form to be filled out. We would however, like to hear about the home and lifestyle you can offer Sally eg. who is in your family, their work hours, whether Sally will have company if you work full time, how you will meet her exercise requirements and anything else that will help us to choose your family as her new family.
