About Lester
This sweetheart came to us from a pound on New Years Eve.
Lester has been a pure joy since the moment we saved him.
This boy is as blind as a bat, but please don't tell him that...
He has no idea he is blind.
We have been discussing the last few weeks what we thought would be best for Lester, and our original plan, was he stay at HQ as he maneuvered around the house and all the other dogs with such ease and confidence.
But we have recently realised, that this boy would do fantastic with his own family.
He is great with other dogs, but we think he deserves to be the only pampered pooch in the family!
He is in excellent health considering no eyesight.
And his other senses are so exaggerated, he learns his routes so well.
We have on order for him and waiting for delivery is a halo so the odd occasion he bumps himself, he will be safe.
Lester walks great on lead, and just wants to be with you.
He does potter around the garden on his own and really enjoys it.
In the few weeks he has been at HQ, we have never heard him bark.
No separation anxiety, which is rare with a blind pooch.
We just want this boy to find a very special family or person that wants to give Lester the best retirement life EVER!!

Adoption details
We shortlist families who will fit the dogs needs and contact them to arrange an introduction. If everything works well, after a timeout to be sure, an adoption agreement is completed. As the adoption donation is transferred the dog will pass into your hands.
Our Adoption Donation Fees vary. Elderly animals or animals with health problems can differ from those for young or purebred dogs.
All our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. They are bathed and groomed, and have had a consultation with our vet who discusses appropriate treatment which we arrange while the dog is in our care. All dogs are desexed at our expense.
We understand that in the first week, issues occasionally occur where training or behaviour modification is impractical and if no other recourse is available and the dog needs to be rehomed, we will agree to refund part of the adoption fee less $100 administration fee. Due to our system processes this will not be instantaneous but will go into your bank account within the next 10 working days.
After the sixth day, we require first refusal if the dog is to be found a different home, but you will not be eligible for a refund.
