About Bella
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
Bella | Siberian Husky | 2 yrs 4 mnths
Located Melbourne
Here at Homes for Huskies, we’re pretty liberal about handing out treats for our floofs, but one thing we don’t hand out lightly is a description like this: exceptional.
It’s a big deal then that we’re introducing you to the exceptional Bella.
While she was stuck at the pound, the 2 year old Bella was a very sweet and calm young lady, rare for a dog living in a high-stress environment. And since she’s been in foster care with H4H, she has just thrived and is thoroughly enjoying her second chance at life.
Bella is now looking for a forever home and we know just what she needs! Does this sound like you? She’d love a home with another dog, ideally one who is calm and well-mannered and will continue to teach her doggy etiquette when out and about.
Bella will do best in a household who are willing to provide gentle introductions to new experiences and continue to train her (or she might just put her husky-patented stubborn streak on display for you).
She’s already shown confidence in many new things since being in foster care and we know she’s going to shine with more love, affection, and training. Bella is intelligent and trainable, and needs repetition, consistency and dedication. She will, no doubt, become a true lady in no time.
Bella loves playing and zooming with dogs of a similar size, loves her walks, is independent and affectionate, and adores dogs and people alike. And give that girl a paddling pool – she’s a definite fan of a splash around!
Since she’s been in foster care, she’s been on a steep but successful learning curve. She is now toilet trained, able to sit, give a high-five, lie down, and wait for food. She can be mouthy at times but with good direction and consistency she’s learning. Her leash manners are improving every day also.
Bella is a true husky, has dug the occasional hole in the past and gets curious about life over the fence, but isn’t a chronic escape artist or trench-digger – she’s just a lovely husky!
Naturally, she will be needing love and affection, plenty of walks, a doggy mate, husky-proof 6ft fences and a secure yard, and no pocket pets. Older children would be preferred. You bring your hearts and homes, and she’ll be an absolutely exceptional part of your life.
