About Clyde. Melbourne
Clyde has a special talent for generating laughter! He's a solid, clumsy boy, who bumbles cheerfully through life with a heart full of affection. In foster care, he's earned the nickname "Captain Bedfall", because of his tendency to roll right off his bed, and continue sleeping quite happily on the floor. Fortunately he's not interested in sleeping on beds or couches, so there's not too far to fall!
Clyde is a marvellously affectionate dog (without being too needy), who is very good with children and other dogs. He'll need a loving home with lots of company, or a doggy friend who shares his enthusiasm for playing. He finds walks very exciting but – like most greyhounds – is ready for another nap before he's gone far. Clyde's size and bounciness means he'll be best in a home with older children. He is however, happily living with a grumpy cat in his foster home.
Clyde has epilepsy, which can be easily managed with inexpensive tablets twice a day. We think this is a small price to pay for the endless laughs and love that Clyde will give you. Clyde's hoping to meet an extra-special human who will love him, quirks and all – and promises to do the same in return!

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
