Jacob

Hey there, I'm Jacob and I'm hanging out at the shelter patiently waiting for my new family to come and take me home.

I arrived at the shelter as a lost doggie without a microchip and sadly no one came looking for me, so I'm now hoping to find a home where I can live forever.

I'm a boy who LOVES people! I just want to be with you as much as possible soaking up all of your attention. I'll let you give me belly rubs all day if you want to.

My second favourite thing in the whole world is TOYS!!. I don't care if it's a ball, squeaky toy or a rope toy, I'll love playing with them all. So if I do ever have to be left home alone please give me lots of toys to play with so I don't get bored.

I can already sit on command and shake hands so perhaps with your help I can learn some more doggie manners. I'm also very good and walking on the lead so those big daily walks we'll be taking will be a breeze.

I've met some dogs here at the shelter and when I first meet them I seem a bit grumpy but once I'm introduced I'm ok. I don't think I've had much socialisation with other dogs so I'm not sure how to first introduce myself. Due to this I would probably prefer dogs that are not full on and bouncing all around me. Dominant dogs may not be the best friend for me either.

I do show some signs of being anxious so a doggie friend for me may help me from getting anxious if my family are away from me.

I would love a nice big backyard to play in and due to my anxiety I should have a colour bond fence so I don't try and take myself for a walk to look for my family.

My final request is that I be treated like a true family member and be included in as many family activities as possible. Being allowed inside with my people would make me a very happy boy.
