About Arnie
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Hi my name is Arnie and I’m a 5.5 year old black greyhound. I’m a gentle loving grey who is looking for his forever home.
I had a rough start to life getting injured when I was only 2 months old and as such never made it to the racing community. I was lucky that I was given to a recue center that found me a great home. I had an operation that sorted out my leg and while it’s a bit shorter than others I use it whenever I can, just not for running I do that on my three good legs.
I’ve been living with a family for last 5 years and I’m well trained in family life. I even do commands such as down, stay, I shake paws and play catch with tennis balls and of course like other greyhounds I love my stuffed toys.
I’m not to keen on cats, well I like to chase them round, but I love other dogs. I grew up with an older greyhound and love spending time with other dogs in the park or when my family looks after their friends’ dogs.
I can get a bit excited when meeting other dogs but I don’t mean no harm and love running round with them.
I’m well behaved, don’t pull on leads, I do like my walks and enjoy being outside as much as lazing on the sofa in front of the TV. I’m very easy going, I love staying put with my humans and would love a family that stays home a lot with me as I’m not the best at being left alone, I get a little scared and restless and have been known to chew up a few things – screen doors seem to be a popular target.
I’m a good eater, love my breakfast and dinner and any snacks you bring my way, especially those little chicken necks, yum. I will wait patiently for my food and only eat when you tell me to.
Having lived with a family I know all the tricks of living in a house; I wee and poo outside – I most like to get those done on my walks and just before I go to bed. I sleep through nights on my bed or on your sofa if you let me. I can be left alone when you go to work, but have also been to work with my family; office life suits me, I love to get cuddles from all the co-workers.
While I’m good around kids, gentle and patient, baby crying is not my favorite and I will tell you in my loud howl that the baby is crying just so you don’t miss it. I would prefer a family with older kids or retired couple that would give me loads of attention and cuddles.
I’m not too active, I love my walks and a run around the dog park every now and again but mostly I just like to chill at home and catch up on my sleep.
I’m very affectionate, I love cuddles with my humans and love visitors. I’m a very gentle and loving medium size greyhound that would love to find a family to love me forever.
My family is currently unable to keep me so I am looking for my new forever home.
Please contact my friends at BTG and they will put you in touch with my mum and dad.
I hope to meet you soon!
Arnie ❤️
Medical notes
Arnie has a deformed leg from an injury as a puppy.
