About Whopper
Allow us to introduce you to the man of the hour!
Don't let this lovable larrikin's size fool you, he is really just a tiny kitten at heart.
This boy has stolen the hearts of many of our staff here at the shelter and that's probably because he gives the best smooches going around! His neck rolls and googly eyes are irresistible.
Whopper walks beautifully on lead and will happily just plod along beside you. He loves to sniff absolutely everything and sometimes it may take you an hour just to get to the end of the street.
Whopper is a total couch potato and his foster carer would often find him fast asleep on your lounge room floor when returning home. Whopper will need a home where he can be welcomed indoors and included as part of families daily activities.
He is currently being treated for an ear infection and will require regular bathing with allergy free shampoo. He loves tummy rubs and neck massages along with sleep ins and a game of fetch. He has learnt how to sit, drop and shake a paw. While he is quite the lazy bones he will require one walk a day to ensure he stays active and healthy.
Whopper was a little unsure about meeting other dogs when he first came to us but with lots of gradual positive introductions he is gaining his confidence and has decided that dogs are pretty fun to be around.
He may be able to share his home with another large playful dog, however he will not be suited to a home with small animals or cats.
I can be the patty to your lettuce.
The burgers are better at Second Chance...
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
