Bowdie

Hi there, Bowdie is the name, nice to meet you! I arrived at the RSPCA after I was found abandoned at a property, I'm not sure why anyone would leave me as I really am a sweet boy, I'm just looking for that perfect family to help show me the ropes! I am only a young chap who hasn't had much experience in life so sometimes I can forget my manners and become excitable, I will need my new family to remain calm around me and to help me work on my impulse control. I would love to go to dog training classes where I can learn important life skills so I can become a well behaved canine citizen, plus I've heard that it's lots of fun and will be a good bonding experience for the both of us! It will be crucial for my new family to take things nice and slowly I'm not one that likes to be rushed into new situations, no sir, I like the calm life. At this time I am still learning how to socialise appropriately with other dogs, I can be a bit over the top sometimes so I would be best suited as the only dog in the family but could potentially live with a nice calm female pending a meet. I am a people orientated boy, I enjoy being around my favourite humans and could potentially live with older mature children, but I can become quite stressed and anxious when left alone so would ideally love to be with someone who works from home or at least part time. I also LOVE enrichment toys like Kong & puzzle toys, ones that I have to work to get my food out of are my favourites as they help keep my mind active. I feel that with structure, routine and regular calm walks, along with training that I will make an awesome companion!
