About Dakota ~ Malamute X Shepherd (on trial 26/3/19)
This is Dakota! She is a 4 years old, female, Malamute x Shepherd who Dog Rescue Newcastle is helping to rehome. She is a very affectionate girl who just loves to give kisses. She is a medium size and quiet a gentle dog. Dakota hasn’t had the best start to life and is and looking for a loving family to spend the rest of her days with. Her ideal family will be able to spend lots of time with her teaching her new things and providing a stable environment.
Dakota would love someone to teach her has some basic training. She currently sleeps outside. She will come inside, but often prefers to be outside. Dakota is housetrained.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Dakota. Dakota currently lives with another dog, but a slow introduction would be needed for any new playmate as she hasn’t been well socialised with other dogs. Regular socialisation with other dogs would be required.
Dakota will need secure high fencing.
Dakota is untested with cats and is not suited to homes with pocket pets. Dakota needs a family committed to regular exercise and training.
