About Twix
We hate to state the obvious but is Twix not the cutest puppy ever?!
He is a seriously adorable and gorgeous little boy who is a real heart stealer wherever he goes. But there is so much more to this puppy than his cuteness. Twix is a very well balanced puppy at home and will have no problems transitioning into his new family. He loves to play with his toys, often carrying one to you in his mouth, and he loves to play tug of war. This sweet pup loves a cuddle and some affection. Twix will happily curl up with you for a nap or sit in your lap; however, he is so much more than a lap dog and will need a home that can offer him more than just love and a lap to sit on.
Twix is smart and very easily trainable. He is toilet trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night, is not a barker, and happy to be left alone when you pop out. This pup will already sit on command, drop for a treat, go to his bed when told and sit on it, and is learning to give toys from his mouth when requested. He walks well on the lead and loves to get out and about. Now Twix may sound like he does not need any more training but he does require mental stimulation in his life so we are looking for a family who are committed to continuing his training in the future. There is so much more that this puppy can learn and he loves to please so training activities make him happy.
One area that Twix can improve on is with his socialisation with other dogs. He is friendly and once introduced to new friends he likes to play with similarly sized dogs; however, he is timid when meeting new dogs and scared of dogs who are too boisterous. We are looking for a dog experienced family who have the ability to build his confidence and continue his socialisation. Ideally, the family will have another calm and confident dog for Twix to learn the ropes from. He is currently living with 4 other dogs, has play dates with 3 others multiple times a week and is walked in areas where he has the capacity to meet other friendly dogs. His new family will need to continue this socialisation and he will require daily exercise or outings.
There will be many people applying for Twix as he is very cute; however, we are looking for a dog experienced family who will be committed to further training and socialisation. His new home will require another playful dog for company, preferably smaller in size, and/or someone who is home most of the time to give him the attention that he deserves. He is suitable for a home with dog respectful kids and cats (he is currently living with one who he is friendly with) or other types of pets if introduced properly. Twix is an indoors dog who should also have access to an appropriate yard or area to toilet, and he must have a comfy bed to sleep on inside at night. His gorgeous coat will also require regular grooming.
If you would like to apply for Twix then you must fill in a dog adoption enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website in order to be considered. Please be patient while we review applications.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
