About Ducky
Ducky is a 4.5 year old loving and playful boy who is loving his new life of luxury in his foster home.
He loves his variety of teddies and toys and carries his own duck teddy around with him at all times. He isn’t possessive of these and loves to share them with his human friends. He will even bring them to his foster parents when they look sad.
He enjoys cuddles in bed in the mornings and is happy to sit around relaxing all day but his favourite time is when the lead comes out. He walks well on a lead and enjoys meeting people and dogs but sometimes gets spooked by loud noises.
He gets on well with larger dogs but has reacted to smaller dogs when they jump at his face, although fine if the dog is more calm.
He is very relaxed about being left for a few hours on his own and is fully toilet trained.
He is not food driven and doesn’t hang around the kitchen at all unless there is raw food around.
He had a tear to his eye when he first came to us – this is healed now but his eye will always be a slightly odd shape and there is some fur missing around the eye that looks like it may never grow back.
Ducky would be happy to be an only dog in his forever home but would also share with another friendly dog. He is not cat friendly and cannot live with other small animals such as chickens.
He would be okay in a home with children over 10 years, and also loves smaller children, so with some practice from both the small children and Ducky he would likely be fine.
