Looking for a Couch Collie? I might just be the man for you….g’day, my name is Ralph and I love to cuddle! I didn’t have a great childhood, never got to play much and spent most of my time in a kennel, so I find the big wide world a bit scary.
My foster mum has been working hard on helping me learn how to put on my “brave” pants and venture out and about, and I am getting better week by week!
I am quite happy to be a homebody though, love to chill out in my crate and snooze the day away while you’re at work, and have learned to toilet outside like a good boy.
In my current foster home I have 4 older doggies to hang with, and get along with them all pretty well, but I would be just as happy to be an only doggo as long as you spend time with me when you’re home.
As you can see from my photos, I love to hang out on the couch with my human, I’ve learned that belly and ear scratches are awesome! My foster mum tells me I am quite bright, I have learned to sit, drop and target already, next thing I’m gonna learn is to shake hands, it sounds like fun!
I love my food so am always keen for a training session, and you can brush me and wash me and clip my nails without me fussing too much.
My life is just starting, and at 3 years I still have a lot of life left to live. I would love a forever human (or family) who is patient and will work to help me keep learning the ways of the world…..
If I sound like your kind of boy, please contact my rescue peeps so we can get together and see if it’s love…

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
