About Scruffy ~ Maltese x (on trial 18/1/2019)
My name is Scruffy and I am a 7 year old male Maltese x. I am a very happy and loving dog. I am always smiling! I’m very low maintenance - I just want a lap to curl up on, a nice meal and maybe short walk. I am very loyal and affectionate, and will be your shadow no matter which room you walk into.
I am house trained and I love nothing more than laying on the lounge and watching TV with my family until it’s bedtime and I use my puppy dog eyes to try and get a spot on the end of the bed, which I usually do. I have the occasional accident inside but I only have a tiny bladder so I don’t make much mess when I do.
I know how to sit and beg, and I am an allround easy dog to have around. I love other dogs so I would love a canine sibling but this is not essential. As long as someone is home more often than not I am happy. I used to live with a young teenager but I haven’t been exposed to small children very much. I am a very gentle boy so with the right introduction, I think I would be okay with kids. I am currently living with a grumpy old cat who isn’t very nice to me so I try to give her space. We both sleep in my foster parents bedroom at night and I would love to cuddle with her but she won’t allow it.
I am happy to be outside if my family are out and about, but I will need a home where I can sleep inside and cuddle on the lounge with my family most of the day. I am not an escape artist, digger or nuisance barker. I can be a little food possessive so I have to be fed separately to any other dogs I live with.
I have a lot of love to give and am searching for a cuddle buddy who will love me just as much as much foster family do.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
