About Banjo
This little charmer is a lively and active little guy. He's not very big in size (weighing in at 10 kg even), but has a big personality, and likes to enjoy every moment of the day. When all the other dogs have knocked off, Banjo is often still playing with his toys and busying him around the place. He has the most delightful cheery personality, a great sense of fun, and is bombproof both with people and with other dogs, even if they are much bigger than him.
Banjo was found heat-stressed and dehydrated on a remote section of the Stuart Highway. It is a mystery how he got there, but he certainly bounced back quickly when he came into care. We see Banjo fitting in really well with a family and some older kids to run around with.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Banjo's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Banjo is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
Medical notes
Banjo has one small patch of demadectic mange on his side which has been treated with Bravecto and is healing already. He has been tested for heartworm and is negative. He has had his Proheart injection for heartworm protection in addition to intestinal worming.
