About Esther (now Kiki)
Meet Esther
Esther is a sweet, bouncy, funny, talkative pug cross.
Esther loves to go on walks, have a conversation with you and get herself into all kind of hilarious situations. She is beginning to learn basic doggy skills and is always up for a training session when there is food involved, but who can blame her. Esther has pretty much mastered the art of toilet training but will likely still need her new families guidance with this.
Esther loves receiving your attention although she can still be a little unsure about being picked up by people she is unfamiliar with, she likely wasn't given much human interaction before coming into our care but she is slowly getting more comfortable with it.
It took Esther just over a week to settle into her foster home, although she is still a little unsure about this inside the house thing, her confidence is growing everyday with positive reinforcement that it is ok to be in the house! Esther has picked out her favourite toy - stuffed monkey - which she now sleeps with inside.
Esther is a little ball of energy, happy to run around talking and snorting, making sure she's in the thick of anything she thinks is going on. Happy to have a talk with you but also happy to explore in the back yard. Esther's ideal family will have someone who works part time or is around more often than not. She will need a home without any young children and hasn't been around cats before.
Esther may be able to share her home with another small calm dog friend however a meet and greet at at the shelter will need to done to ensure it is an appropriate match.
Could Esther come home with you?
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
