About Louis
*SPECIAL NEEDS PUPPY*
Hello there, my name is Louis! I know what you're thinking... I'm tiny, sweet and utterly gorgeous. And you are completely right! What I lack in size, I make up in personality (and attitude). I am extremely friendly, love meeting new people and I am looking for a fun and dedicated forever family. Reason being, I have a medical condition that causes me to have problems with my balance and coordination, that may result in ongoing medical consults and costs. My new family will definitely need to take this into consideration before making a long term commitment as I would love to stay put in my new home. Okay, back to talking myself up! My hobbies include playing fetch with my adorably tiny tennis ball, dragging myself across the floor with my front legs, collecting random objects to make a 'nest' and following my people around the house. I have been in foster with cats (who weren't overly impressed with my presence) and adult dogs. If I were to live with a dog in my new home, they would need to be very patient and willing to tell me off if I become too boisterous. If you have the perfect home for me, please come in and say hello! But don't be offended if I accidentally do a sneaky wee on you (I tend to get a bit too excited at times). See you soon!
Because of his medical issues, Louis is looking for a very specific home. He doesn't cope well on slippery surfaces so a carpeted home is preferred. Louis can manage stairs, but they present a danger to him with his wobbly gait. Louis really loves company - so a friendly small dog and an owner who is home more often than not would be ideal.
We recommend Louis for a family with children 8 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.
The adoption fee for Louis is $550.00 which helps to cover the cost of his mandatory de-sexing, vaccinations, microchip and a lot of care from the RSPCA crew. Who says you can't buy love?!
